Stacy Gallagher has accepted the position of Director of Development of Merion Mercy Academy, effective October 1, 2019.

Stacy's appointment is the culmination of a comprehensive process that included an exceptionally talented pool of applicants.

Stacy has a deep commitment to girls' schools.  She was the Chief Advancement Officer at the Baldwin School where she successfully oversaw a capital campaign for a new Performing Arts Center; the school's 125th anniversary celebration; the transition of a new Head of School; and a $2 million annual fund.  She also facilitated the largest alumna gift in the Baldwin School's history.  Prior to working at Baldwin, Stacy served as the Director of Institutional Advancement at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and oversaw the completion of a $12 million campaign.

In addition to her experience at the secondary school level, Stacy has worked in higher education at colleges and universities, including Dartmouth College, the University of Rochester, and Cabrini University.

She has also demonstrated an ability to provide leadership in areas outside of her core development responsibilities.  She has served in key roles on strategic planning committees, Middle States accreditation committees, and administrative teams.

Over the last two decades, Stacy's work has been characterized by her passion for and dedication to education and advancing the mission of each institution.  She has raised the level of development success of each organization, increasing giving and the overall quality of development operations. Furthermore, Stacy has been lauded for her ability to create strong and collaborative relationships with donors, board members, volunteers, faculty, and colleagues.  We are confident that Stacy will build upon the sound foundation of MMA's Development Office and serve as an engaged leader in our community.

Stacy graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College and has a fundraising certificate from Villanova University.  She is married to Peter Gallagher, who is the Head Football Coach at Ursinus College.  They have two daughters, Kaleigh (19) and Madison (17).

Stacy looks forward to continuing to carry the vision of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy through strengthening engagement initiatives and philanthropic support for the school. Please join us in welcoming Stacy Gallagher to Merion Mercy Academy!
